The path to placement
Tell us what your program requires.
Together, we can review whether the practice and the proposed rotation are a suitable fit.
1. Share your goals.
Provide your university, program track, requested rotation dates, total clinical hours, and any required patient populations or setting criteria.
2. Review the fit.
Discuss preceptor availability, location and format, learning expectations, fees, and your school's approval and affiliation process.
3. Complete onboarding.
Confirm the placement in writing and complete applicable school agreements and site requirements before clinical hours begin.
An inquiry does not reserve a placement. Acceptance depends on availability, mutual fit, school approval, and completed onboarding. Any fees and cancellation terms will be provided for review before you commit.

Frequently asked questions
Who should inquire?
Students enrolled in a PMHNP graduate or post-graduate certificate program who need a clinical preceptor. Your school must approve the preceptor, setting, and proposed learning experience.
Are rotations in person or via telehealth?
The practice offers in-person and telehealth care. The format of a student rotation must be confirmed separately and must meet your school's requirements and applicable licensure requirements. Include your state and your program's format restrictions in your inquiry.
What are the fees and available dates?
Contact the practice for current preceptorship fees, payment terms, and rotation availability. Dates, schedules, and hours are confirmed individually; submitting an inquiry does not secure a slot.
What will I need before starting?
Expect a review of your school's clinical objectives, required hours, faculty contact, and affiliation paperwork. The final checklist may also include proof of required licensure, liability coverage, training, and other school or site requirements.
Can a specific patient population be guaranteed?
No. Clinical exposure depends on the practice's patient mix and schedule. If your program requires specific age groups, diagnoses, or encounter types, share those requirements before a placement is accepted.
